Whether you are looking to adorn your chicken coop or add a touch of nautical charm to your seafood restaurant, a weather vane from Nauticum is more than just a wind indicator. It is a beautiful, handmade element that brings a piece of maritime history to your home or business. We offer a wide selection of weather vanes in brass and copper, crafted to enhance any setting.

These weather vanes are handcrafted from solid brass and copper, designed to withstand wind and weather. Some arrive polished and will develop a beautiful patina over time, while others are available in an antique finish, already bearing the marks of years of history. A robust weather vane always turns its thinnest side to the wind, making it resistant to storms. Remember to lubricate it regularly to maintain its function, unless you prefer the charming rattle on the roof.

Historically, weather vanes also served as guild signs. Manors displayed their coats of arms, cattle farms their horses, and shipping companies their ships or monograms. The possibilities were countless and often artistic. With a weather vane, and a little experience, you can predict the weather based on wind direction and season, deciding whether it's time to set sail or simply enjoy the view.

Please note that these weather vanes are made to order with a delivery time of 1-2 weeks. They are available in several sizes, and most can be mounted as desired. Choose the appropriate bracket for mounting the weather vane. In harsh weather, there is a risk of damage to the weather vane and the roof, so avoid placing it in an exposed location.
