Terms and Conditions applicable to private customers

Webshop procedure:

  1. Find the wanted item/items, click the shopping cart and go to the checkout
  2. Enter your personal information
  3. Select shipping and payment method
  4. Accept our terms and conditions
  5. Check that all information is correct on the collection page and approve the purchase

Purchase from Nauticum
Purchase of item(s) is only possible through our webshop. If you have inquiries on items not found on Nauticum, please contact us by phone +45 5119 4213 (weekdays 9-15) or by e-mail mail@nauticum.shop. All prices are daily prices and include VAT and any other taxes. To see previous orders, you need to log in to the website with your password. If you need a copy of your order confirmation, please send us an e-mail. In B2B trading we can send your company's bookkeeping an invoice copy when the package has been sent.
Price error: If a price is obviously incorrect and you should reasonably be expected to have acknowledged this, we are not obligated to supply the item concerned at the price incorrectly stated.

Payment
At the webshop you can pay with:
VisaCard, MasterCard, Maestro and in special cases by Bank transfer (prepayment).

The amount will not be deducted from your card until shipment of the item(s). An amount higher than approved upon at the time of purchase can never be deducted.
NOTE! Please note that by bank transfer you are not protected by the objection procedure.
No fee is charged for payment on the webshop.

Payment cards
If you pay with a credit card, you are always protected against misuse. We use an approved payment gateway by Nets to ensure easy and safe online payment. Data transmitted in connection with purchases paid for with payment cards is encrypted (SSL), and thus can be read only by Nets. The amount is not deducted until shipment of the item(s) from Nauticum's warehouses. An amount higher than approved upon at the time of purchase can never be deducted.

Shipping and freight
Primarily shipment is handled by PostNord. Delivery time is 1-7 days (for handmade items, however, approx. 21-30 days). We deliver to Denmark, to the EU countries and to Greenland, Iceland and the Faroe Islands. If you live in Denmark, you can order at Nauticumshop.dk, If you live in Sweden, we refer to Nauticumshop.se, if you live in Norway, we refer to Nauticum.shop and if you live in Germany, we refer to Nauticumshop.de.

For all items an expected delivery time is stated – please note that the delivery time is counted in number of working days. In case of delay, backorder or sold out items, we will do our utmost to inform you as soon as possible in order to find a solution, e.g. cancel your order or help you find a similar item.
As soon as you have purchased an item, we will process your order. Within EU PostNord usually delivers within 2-4 days.
When you buy items from our warehouses, you will receive your items within 2-4 days. Delivery of items ordered for production are delivered within 21-30 days. Delivery time is stated at the item concerned.

Cancellation of purchase
You have a 14-day right of withdrawal when you shop at Nauticumshop.com.
The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you:
a) have received your item
b) have the last item in physical possession in the case of an agreement on several different items ordered in one order and delivered individually
c) have the last batch, or the last part in physical possession in the case of an agreement on supply of a product consisting of several lots or parts
The deadline means that you have 14 days from receipt to notify us  if you regret your purchase. The notice must be given either by e-mail or telephone +45 9119 4213. You can also choose to use and enclose our standard cancellation form and return ticket in the return package. You will find the standard cancellation form enclosed to your order confirmation and at the bottom of these conditions.
You cannot regret by simply refusing to receive the item without notifying us at the same time. If you refuse receipt or do not pick up your package if Postnord has made it available for collection, you will be notified by us when the package has been returned and your purchase will be credited, but the return shipping will be deducted from the amount credited.
Withdrawal of part of the purchase
If you have purchased several items from us, you have the option of sending one or more items back, even if purchased under one order. Please note that you will not be reimbursed for the delivery costs if you withdraw part of your purchase.
Return
You must return your item(s) to us without undue delay and no later than 14 days after notification to us that you wish to cancel your purchase. You must send the purchased item(s) to our address and bear the direct return costs. If you use the return shipping ticket (include this in the package) the shipping costs will be deducted from the amount to be refunded to you. Please note that you cannot return purchased item(s) to a parcel shop. The package must be sent to Nauticum's address. Upon return, proper wrapping of the item is your responsibility. You bear the risk of the item(s) from the time of delivery of the item(s).
The condition of the returned item(s)
If the item(s) has/have lost value due to handling by you in a different way than necessary for determination of the nature, properties and function of the item(s), you will only receive part of the purchase amount back. The amount refunded depends on the commercial value of the item, and in some cases you may therefore only receive the shipping costs back.
Please note that the packaging of the item(s) is an important part of the worth of the item(s).

Refund of the purchase amount
If you regret your purchase, you will receive your money back. If the item is impaired, we will deduct the amount for which you are liable. If you exercise your right of withdrawal, we will refund all payments received from you, including delivery costs (however, not additional costs due to your own choice of a different form of delivery than the cheapest standard delivery that we offer), without undue delay and in any case no later than 14 days after the date on which we have received notification of your decision to cancel this agreement. We will make such a refund using the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless otherwise agreed. Please note that if you use the return shipping ticket in the package, the return freight will be deducted from the amount to be refunded to you.

Right of complaint - if something is wrong with the item
When you shop with us as a consumer, the rules of the Purchase Act for purchase of goods apply. This means that you have a 24 month right to make a complaint.
If your complaint is justified, you can either have the item repaired, exchanged, receive the money back or obtain a reduction in the price, depending on the specific situation.
How soon must I complain?
You must complain within a "reasonable time" after discovering the defect in the item. If you complain within two months after, the complaint will always be considered timely.

We refund reasonable shipping costs
If the complaint is justified, we will of course pay the return shipping costs.  For this purpose, please use the return shipping ticket attached in the package. If lost and not possible for us to send you a new ticket to print and put on the package, we will of course refund your (reasonable) shipping costs – Please make sure to receive a receipt for the shipment. We always beforehand agree with you how to proceed in connection with a complaint/return. Therefore, in the event of a complaint, please ALWAYS contact us before returning the item.

Will I be notified when I have returned item(s)?
If you have returned item(s) due to withdrawal or complaint, you will always receive an e-mail when we have received the item(s). The e-mail gives you information about the further processing of your withdrawal/complaint.

Right of appeal
If you want to complain about your purchase, please contact the owner, Mai-Britt Bjørnholt Vaqué, by e-mail.
If, against expectations, we do not succeed in finding a solution, you can file a complaint to the relevant board in the area, provided that the conditions for this are met.
If you are a consumer residing outside Denmark, you can use the EU Commission's online complaints portal. You will find the complaints portal here: http://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/

Personal data policy
Shopping at Nauticum requires the following information:

Address
Phone number
E-mail address

We register and pass on personal information necessary to deliver the item to you.
Your information is therefore used by PostNord, GLS, UPS and other shipping companies used by us to send the item(s) to you.
The personal information is registered with NauticumShop.dk and stored for five years. 

We also collaborate with a number of other companies storing and processing data. Such companies process information solely on our behalf and may not use it for their own purposes.
We only collaborate with data processors in the EU or in countries that can provide adequate data protection of your information.

The data controller at Nauticumshop.com is the manager, Mai-Britt Bjørnholt Vaqué.

You have the right to be informed of the data processed by us about you. Should you find data inaccurate, you are entitled to correction. In some cases, it is our duty to delete your personal data upon your request. E.g. if your data is no longer necessary for the purpose of which we were supposed to use it. You can also contact us if you believe that your personal data is being processed in violation of the law. You can contact us by e-mail.
Please note that we store your information for as long as we as a company are obliged to keep it for accounting purposes.

Cookies
At Nauticumshop.com, cookies are used for the purpose of optimizing the website and its functionality, thus making your visit as easy as possible.
You can delete cookies from your computer at any time – how to do this depends on your browser.

Log statistics
We use log statistics on Nauticumshop.com, which means that a statistics system collects information to give a statistical picture showing how many visitors we have, where they come from and where they left the website, etc. The log statistics are used only for the purpose of optimizing Nauticumshop.com.
