Description

Chess (derived from the Persian word 'Shah' - king) is a board game for two players and one of the world's most popular games. The aim of the game is to win by checkmating the opponent (also called checkmate), which is done by attacking his king in such a way that the attack cannot be repelled.
Chess is a mental sport in which players use the strategic and tactical elements provided by the rules of the game, and therefore requires the use of abstract deduction.
The game is played on a square chessboard, divided into 64 squares. Each player initially has a set of chess pieces consisting of 16 pieces in one of two colours, usually white and black. Players take turns moving one of their own pieces (making a move), with white always moving first, and a player cannot skip his turn. The move must be made according to the rules for the different moves of the pieces and the rules of the game in general.
