Termometers

When is it cold and when is it warm in the living room – no one can agree on that, but the thermometer always tells the truth. Among our wide selection of thermometers, you will find some test winners that measure the right temperature, regardless of whether you feel colder or not. A thermometer can be counted on, and it will not show the desired temperature, so you must either turn on the heat or vent, as the instrument will not shrink without your effort.

A thermometer is a measuring instrument for measuring temperature.

The international temperature scale (SI unit) is the kelvin scale, (which is not expressed in degrees but "just" XX kelvin). In Scandinavia and Europe, the Celsius scale is used. In addition, there are, among other things, Fahrenheit and Réaumur. The last three (as well as some other scales) are all given in 'degrees'.

Thermometers can be designed in different ways, according to need and price. There are i.a. in the following types/applications:

Mercury, the old-fashioned 'fever thermometer', Beckmann alcohol thermometer with blue or red alcohol, outdoor/indoor thermometer, Bimetal, usually round, frying thermometer, Galileo thermometer, the one with the balls floating in a little liquid - mostly for decoration, and Digital, which basically can replace all of the above, Infrared (IR), which can measure the surface temperature (heat radiation) without direct contact.
